This is a four week session is for Pottery Wheel Level 1 and Level 2 students. Each session is two hours, once a week, taught at my studio in Simpsonville in Whitehall Plantation.

Students in Level 1 will learn the basics of how to throw on the pottery wheel and make items such as bowls, cups, and vases using 1-2lbs of clay.

Students in Level 2 will learn to throw larger plates, platters, and bowls focusing on centering 2-4Lbs of clay on the wheel. They will also learn how to layer glazes to give them a multi-color effect. The first three sessions will be pottery wheel lessons, and the final session you will be glazing all your handmade pieces.

Classes are taught in tandem two students at a time with one instructor. Ages 10 and up.

Price includes instruction, tools and materials, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Fees include firing up to seven wheel throw pieces. If more than seven are produced, an additional kiln firing fee will be requested. Session dates: September 7, 14, 28, October 5

Once complete, a Wheel 2 or 3 class can be taken in the future. No prior experience necessary. **Classes are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged. Exact address of studio will be emailed upon enrollment.
