Pottery Wheel Half Course (2 Sessions)

Have you taken a Pottery Wheel Intro and want to continue to learn more pottery wheel throwing? Do you want to slowly dive into learning pottery without a huge commitment? This is the class for you! This is a two hour Pottery Wheel Half Course class. The class will meet for two separate days, each session is two hours. Schedule will be as follows:

Session 1: Making small or medium bowls (varying on skill level)

Session 2: Creating mugs with handles.

You’ll learn the basics of pottery wheel throwing and get an opportunity to make both larger and different forms. When done, you will select your glaze color, and your pieces will be ready for pick up about three weeks later. Pieces will be glazed by staff. After this course, a four week pottery wheel level 1 course can be taken. Potters of any skill level can sign up for this course.

Classes are taught in tandem, two students at a time with one instructor. Adults and kids age 9 and up are welcome.

Price is for one participant and includes instruction, tools and materials, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Classes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

About the instructor: Dianna is a Certified SC K-12 art teacher with her undergraduate degree in Art Education, and Master’s degree in Education with twenty years of teaching experience.
