This is a special drop in clay class for kids (6-13)!

Students will be making one handmade clay ghost lantern. They will begin by rolling out a sheet of clay using the clay slab method, and forming their ghosts. They will then shape their ghosts, and cut out for eyes and a mouth. When finished, students will select their glaze color from a choice of matte white and matte black. The teacher will then glaze their creations using high fire glazes.

Once complete, projects will then be collected and fired in the kiln. Picked up is approximately two weeks later.

This is a DROP IN class, so feel free to arrive anytime within the classes time frame, the project will take approximately an hour for each student to complete.

About the instructor: Dianna is a Certified SC K-12 art teacher with her undergraduate degree in Art Education, and Master’s degree in Education with twenty years of teaching experience.
